WHAT IS IT?
Bière de Garage, one of the original 24 beers that began the Garage Project, and a firm favourite at the brewery. Hops slip back into a minor supporting role in this deliciously tart farmhouse ale, brewed with Belgian pilsner, biscuit and aromatic malts and infused with whole sour cherries. The result is a uniquely refreshing mix of sparkling sour fruit with a touch of almond sweetness. Here's to old friends made new again.
Tart cherry farmhouse. Farmhouse yeast is very closely related to a saison, having those spicy and more phenolic characters depending on fermentation temperature. The sour cherries come from Otago, and combined with Northern Brewer,Styrian Goldings hops, and some biscuit and aromatic malt the product is a very tart, very full on fragrant experience with a dry mouth feel and a hint of pepperiness.
